Kinhin is Japanese for “Walking
Meditation”. As a part of formal Zen
practice, one must walk around the Dharma Room
(temple) for about 20 minutes, slowly, quietly and with as much awareness as
possible. Each step, is meant to be taken with 100% presence of
self. As the whole world can be your temple, you may find it obvious to
take a leap of faith, a leap of consciousness, as you come to know your true
self.
The color scheme used in this piece was taken from a beautiful oyster shell found on the shores of the Potomac River.
